William Wesley Stanley

William Wesley Stanley, 87, of Wells died Monday, September 4, 2017 in in a local hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Stanley was born April 17, 1930 in Rusk, Texas to the late Willie (Paul) and John Wesley Stanley.

Mr. Stanley retired after serving 20 years in the United States Navy. He was an HVAC Technician employed by Pancho’s Restaurants, Grace Care, and was also self-employed. He enjoyed golfing when he was younger and liked spending time fishing and hunting as well.

Survivors include his wife, Rene’ Elizabeth Stanley of Wells; daughter, Brenda Kay Stanley of Houston; sister, Carolyn Ward of Pollok; brother Arthur Stanley of Houston; stepson, Daryl Wade Johns and wife Jackie of Central; four step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna Catherine (Allen) Stanley; one brother; and two sisters.
