Paul Richard Potts

Funeral services for Paul Richard Potts, 94, of Apple Springs, will be held Monday, September 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Ray Vann officiating. Private family burial will follow on family land in Nigton.

Mr. Potts was born February 9, 1923 in Belmond, Iowa to the late Madeline Madell and George W. Potts, and died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Potts had resided in Apple Springs for 44 years. He was the Equipment Superintendent for Morrison Knudson for over 30 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a loving father and grandfather and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his son, Paul Potts and wife Charlotte of Apple Springs; daughters, Yvette Gill and husband Ron of Alta Loma, California, Faye Nevins and husband John of Boise, Idaho, Yvonne Epperson of Thompson Falls, Montana, and Mercedes Carswell and husband Tommy of Hudson; son, Joseph Potts of Kountze; twenty-two grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Phillip Potts and Ray Potts; sister, Mary Taylor; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mildred Potts.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. LaBarbera and his staff and to Ruth Williams and Yolanda Wyatt with Angel’s Choice Home Health.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
