Ted Reppond

Graveside services for Ted Reppond, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Largent Cemetery with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating.
Mr. Reppond was born June 28, 1957, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Geneva (Winthrop) and Bill Reppond. He died Monday, July 3, 2017 in a Lufkin hospice facility.

Ted was a self-employed painter and had lived in Lufkin all his life. He served his country in the United States Navy. Ted attended Timber Creek Church. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and was known for being a comedian.

Survivors include his daughter and husband, Jennifer Reppond and William Jeff Strait of Chireno; son and wife, Jason Mark and Karen Mott of Nogalus Prairie; sons, Jason Jackson of Alto, James Jackson of Katy, brothers, Bobby Short, Billy Reppond and wife Nancy; sister, Mareta Bennett; fourteen grandchildren; uncle, Arthur Winthrop of High Island; aunt, Wanda Dennis of Lufkin; former wife and special friend, Brenda Sanders of Alto; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Short; step-brother, Elroy Hamilton; and brother-in-law, Phillip Bennett.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the funeral home.
