Barbara Ann Brantner

Funeral services for Barbara Ann Brantner, 56, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Denman Avenue Baptist Church with Brother Charles M. Roberts and Pastor Paul Brantner officiating. Interment will follow in the Pollok Cemetery.

Mrs. Brantner was born August 23, 1960 in Houston, Texas to JoAnn (Davis) and the late Thomas Herd Dixon, and died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Brantner had resided in Lufkin since 1986. She was an Administrative Secretary for Hudson Independent School District. She enjoyed spending time at Rockport, which is a Dixon family tradition. She was an avid swimmer. She also enjoyed watching game shows on television. She was a doting grandmother and loved her family as well as her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an active member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a Sunday School teacher alongside her husband.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Brantner of Lufkin; daughter, Melissa Robinson and husband Jordan of Lufkin; sons, Jeff Brantner and wife Tiffani, Jimmy Brantner and wife Jill, and Johnny Brantner and wife Maegan, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Cullen Brantner, E. Brantner, F. Brantner, Audree Brantner, Elliott Brantner, Jay Henry Brantner, Noah Brantner, Chloe Robinson, and Kenzie Robinson, and Grayson Robinson who is “on his way”, all of Lufkin ; mother, JoAnn Dixon of Lufkin; brothers, Bobby Dixon and Larry Dixon and wife Tera, all of Lufkin, Thomas Dixon and wife Jill of Spring, and Richard Dixon of Houston; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilburn and Bonnie Brantner of Splendora; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Dixon and Janet Dixon.
