Funeral services for Clay Kosina, 40, of Corrigan, will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother William “Peanut” Glass and Reverend Mardy Guidry officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the Barnum Community in Polk County. Mr. Kosina was born March 14, 1977 in Baytown, Texas, and died Monday, May 22, 2017 at his residence in Corrigan. He was the Parts Manager for Performance Truck for 15 years, and had resided in Corrigan most of his life. Mr. Kosina attended Stryker Baptist Church in Corrigan. Survivors include his mother and father, Cathy and James Kosina of Corrigan; brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Christy Kosina; nephews, Dustyn Leazott and Tyler Kosina; niece, Samantha Kosina; grandfather, Glenn Hammond, Sr.; longtime friends and “brothers”, Patrick Strickland and wife Lori, and Michael Nobles; uncles and their wives, Joey and Peggy Kosina, Billy and Kim Kosina, Bert and Jeana Kosina, and Glenn and Susie Hammond; and aunts, Kathy Magee and husband Bill, and Susan Balette. Mr. Kosina was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Ann Hammond; grandparents, Johnnie and Bertha Kosina; and uncle, Philip Hammond. Pallbearers will be Patrick Strickland, Michael Nobles, Michael Knight, Curt Kosina, Cody Kosina, and Jake Kosina.
