Funeral services for Mark Ray Pittman, 58, of Zavalla will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Louie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Poland Cemetery.
Mr. Pittman was born July 18, 1958 in Baytown, Texas to Joice Fae (Hawkins) and Martin “Bill” Pittman, and died Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Lufkin.
Mr. Pittman worked on the Road Crew for Angelina County Precinct 4. He enjoyed motorcycles and doing mechanic work. He liked fishing and camping and being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Tonyia Pittman of Zavalla; mother, Joice Fae (Hawkins) Pittman of Zavalla; brothers, Samuel D. Pittman and John E. Pittman, both of Zavalla; brother-in-law, Lloyd Breecheen and wife Theresa of Dayton; sister-in-law, Lisa Henderson and husband Larry of Pasadena; brothers-in-law, Tony Dorsey of Baytown and Ernest Dorsey of Navasota; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Pallbearers will be Tony Dorsey, Joe W. Pittman, Douglas Moses, Keith Brandenburg, Larry Henderson, and Lloyd Breecheen.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Zavalla Building Fund, 1034 East Main Street, Zavalla, Texas 75980.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning prior to the services.
