Tim M. Hill

Memorial services for Tim M. Hill, 77, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church with Father Max M. Reynolds officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Hill was born August 18, 1939 in Couchwood, Louisiana to the late Georgia Joyce (Bollier) and Tulsa Lee Hill, and died Thursday, May 11, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mr. Hill had resided in Lufkin most of his life. He enjoyed helping his community and working as a plumber for almost 40 years. For 36 years, he was the previous owner of Hill Plumbing and had retired. He volunteered for over 10 years with Habitat for Humanity and also served as Foreman on the construction of homes. Mr. Hill was a member of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church, which he loved, and was very active up until his health kept him from it. He participated in the Men’s Breakfast Team and Prayer Teams. He enjoyed fishing and camping, but most important in his life was his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his first and only grandson, Elijah, was the light of his life.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Michele Hill of Lufkin; daughters, Mary Hill Christian of Irving, Rachel Hill Lymbery and husband Taylor of Denton, and Jamie Hill Garbutt and husband Nathan of San Diego, California; grandson, Elijah James Lymbery of Denton; sisters, Sandra Crawford and husband Lonnie, and Georgia Neal and husband Wayne, all of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents.
