Garvis Mac Driver

Funeral services for Garvis Mac Driver, 74, of Corrigan will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Pastor Lesly Wilkinson officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.

Mr. Driver was born December 15, 1942 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Bonnie (Snowden) and Chester Driver, and died Monday, April 3, 2017 in Corrigan.

Mr. Driver was a graduate of Huntington High School and upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served for four years, obtaining the rank of E5 Radioman RM2. After serving his country he was self-employed and retired from Direct Sales. Mr. Driver was a member of Oak Flat Baptist Church in Huntington.

Survivors include his wife, Robbie Brevell Driver of Corrigan; son, Tyson Blake Driver and wife Tonya of Huntington; grandchildren, Hunter Driver and Case Driver of Huntington; stepsons, Daryl Loving and wife Carolyn of Spring; Roger Loving of Bossier City, Louisiana; brother-in-law, David Brevell and wife Vicki of Round Rock; nephews, Rodney Driver, and Dennis Driver and wife Alice, all of Elk Grove, California; great nephew, Randy Driver of New Mexico; step-granddaughters, Jennifer Akin and husband Brian of Walnut Creek, California, Kymberly Oney and husband Douglas of Dallas, and Jo Lynn Baker of Huntington; step-grandson, Walker Baker of Huntington; and step-great-granddaughter, Brynn Grace Oney of Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Calvin Doyle Driver and C.W. Driver; and sister-in-law, Shirley Driver.

Pallbearers will be Scott Moorehead, David Forrest, Richard Forrest, Lee Connaroe, Lloyd Gillespie, and Johnny Bonner.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
