Funeral services for Darlene Inez Humphrey, 78, of Houston will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Kyle Campbell officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mrs. Humphrey was born July 3, 1938 in Harris County, Texas to the late Olga Esther and Thomas Othell Haygood, and died Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Houston. Mrs. Humphrey had resided in Harris County most of her life and retired from being a nurse. She was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her sons, Michael Brisk of Washington, and Edgar Brisk of Houston; daughter, Amanda Humphrey of Lufkin; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Eugene Humphrey. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at the funeral home.
