Memorial services for James “Jim” Shaw, 73, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Kitchen officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mr. Shaw was born March 30, 1943 in Childress, Texas to the late Henrietta Hope (Willard) and James Horace Shaw, and died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in a local hospice facility. Mr. Shaw served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1966, stationed in Vietnam. He was the District Manager for Entex Gas for 35 years and had resided in Lufkin for 2 1/2 years. Mr. Shaw was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Della Shaw of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and James Kitchen of Lufkin and Cindy and Glenn Cross of Humble; stepsons and daughter-in-law, Billy Gray of Azle and Bobby and Elizabeth Gray of Jackson, Missouri; granddaughters, Heather Lewis of Lufkin, Courtney Cross of Humble, and Alysia Gray of Azle; grandsons, Cody Cross of Humble, Casey Gray, Liam Gray, both of Jackson, Missouri, and Tre Grey of Azle; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Shirley Shaw of Webster; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services. Carroway Funeral Home, Lufkin, directors.
