Virginia Sowell

Graveside services for Virginia Sowell, 62, of Conroe will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Broaddus Cemetery with Pastor Dale Allen and Pastor Terry Quinn officiating.

Ms. Sowell was born February 3, 1955 in Kenedy, Texas to the late Virginia (Vasquez) and Santos Garcia, Sr., and died Friday, February 24, 2017 at her residence. Formerly of San Augustine, Ms. Sowell had resided in Conroe for 10 years. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Alicia and Omar Arellano of Nacogdoches, Lavell Sowell and Kris Henderson of Lufkin; son, Clayton Bullet Sowell of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Marcos Pineda, William “Nico” Stotts, Jr., Nevaeh Sowell, Librado Sowell, Bryan Santiago, Cristian Garcia, Seth Aldana, Aiden Aldana, and Adrianna Aldana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Angel and Christine Garcia, Dario and Buanita Garcia, and Damacio “Macho” Garcia, all of Nacogdoches; sisters and brother-in-law, Patsy Gonzales, Juanita Janie and Dale Allen, all of Nacogdoches; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Juan Garcia, Santos Garcia, Jr., and George Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Marcos Pineda, William “Nico” Stotts, Jr., Librado Sowell, Junior Ard, Juan Garcia, Jr., Dario Garcia, Jr., Hunter Curbow, and Kris Henderson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Carroway Funeral Home.
