Funeral services for Louie Leslie “Les” McKay, 87, of Huntington will be held Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Dr. Darryl Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.
Mr. McKay was born October 3, 1929 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to the late Arvie (Bottoms) and Charlie Eugene McKay, and died Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. McKay served in the U.S. Army and retired from Occidental Chemical. He enjoyed bass fishing on Lake Sam Rayburn and deer hunting. Mr. McKay was a member of Huntington First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Peggy McKay of Huntington; son, Leslie Harold “Les, Jr.” McKay of Bridge City; grandsons, Ryan McKay and Joshua McKay, both of New Jersey; nephew, Marlin McKay of Stonewall, Oklahoma; and nieces, Judy Krebbs of Ada, Oklahoma, Donna Gault of Allen, Oklahoma, and Jeanette House of San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie “Pete” and Marie McKay; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Toliver Tucker and Pansie Jewel and Curtis Wylie.
Pallbearers will be the men of Huntington First Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Friendship Sunday School Class of Huntington First Baptist Church.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to the services.
