Donnie R. Russell

Graveside services for Donnie R. Russell, 63, of Lufkin will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Aldredge Cemetery with Bob Owens officiating.

Mr. Russell was born January 6, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Flora Mae (Radke) and Silous Simon Russell, and died Monday, February 6, 2017 in a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. Mr. Russell served in the U.S. Army and worked for Overhead Doors Greater Lufkin. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Angela Russell of Douglass; grandsons, Brady Russell and Jacob Russell, both of Douglass; sisters and brother-in-law, Nanci Gilmore of Chowchilla, California, Melba Kennedy, and Dianna and Steven Hampton, all of Lufkin; brothers, Roy Kennedy and Jimmy Russell, both of Lufkin; sister cuz, Thea Renard of Lufkin; aunt, Betty McCarter of Lufkin; uncle, James Radke of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
