Billie Ray Rice

Graveside services for Billie Ray Rice, 83, of Diboll will be held Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Brother Cary Modisett officiating.

Ms. Rice was born December 21, 1933 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Clara (Bailey) and John Duran Bobbitt, and died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in a local hospice facility. She was a lifetime resident of Diboll. Ms. Rice retired from the deli at Brookshire Brothers. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Angela Rice of Algoa and Tony and Jo Ann Rice of Huntington; grandchildren and spouses, Kara ad Edward Heath, Christy and Josh Clifton, and Anthony Rice; six great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Ona Faye and Doyle Rice of Pasadena and Margie Kenner of Wells; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Janet Bobbitt of Katy; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lottie Jo Bobbitt.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
