Memorial services for Wanda Rhoudes Warren, 61, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, February 6, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Denman Avenue Baptist Church with Brother Ron Meadows and Brother Buddy Jordan officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Warren was born November 8, 1955 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Irene (Trapp) and Caroll Rhoudes. She died Friday, February 3, 2017 at her residence in Lufkin.
Mrs. Warren had been a waitress at The Kettle Restaurant for many years. She was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church, where she loved and thoroughly enjoyed the Bible Survey Class. Wanda’s testimony is that she was instantly delivered from alcohol use and prescription drug abuse on June 5, 2012. She had lived in Lufkin all her life.
Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Amanda Smith, Mark and Genna Smith, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Brittany Raines, Heath Raines, Tisha Riddles, Martin Smith, Skyler Smith, Henry Smith all of Lufkin, and Devon Smith serving in the U.S. Marines; great grandchildren, Arissa Raines, Alison Riddles, Ashlyn Raines, Anna Raines, and Brantley Riddles; brother, Lynn Rhoudes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aaron “Sonny” Warren; sister, Vada Trapp; and brother, Bill Rhoudes.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Denman Avenue Bible Survey Class.
