Pat (Modisette) Greer

Funeral services for Pat (Modisette) Greer, 75, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Timber Creek Church (formerly Lufkin First Assembly) with Reverend Dee Black, Reverend Doug Feazell, and Pastor Jeremy Yancey officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Pat (Modisette) Greer fell asleep in the Lord Wednesday, February 1, 2017, leaving this life on her 75th year on Earth to await the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Hal W. Greer.

Pat loved and served her church Lufkin First Assembly (now Timber Creek Church) in many ways. She taught a 2 year old Sunday School class for 25 years, served as Youth Leader, Young Marrieds Class, Cradle Roll Secretary, Special Events Coordinator, decorator, and wedding coordinator. She taught in Eagle Pass, Texas, Pasadena High School, Lufkin Jr. High West, and Lufkin High School. She was also a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lufkin Chapter #382.  After becoming a mother in 1973, she dedicated her life to being the best Mom possible and a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter, Angela Molina and husband Josue’ of San Antonio; son, Glyndon Greer and wife Chasity of College Station; grandsons, Juan Molina and Josue’ Molina; granddaughters, Hailey Greer and Macey Greer; sister and brother-in-love, Judy and George Crockett of Katy; and a number of other other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, F.R. “Snip” Modisette; and mother, Ruby Lee Modisette.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Purke, Jason Purke, Matthew Purke, Chris Fleniken, Chris Gonzales, and Jimmy Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Timber Creek Church, P.O. Box 151038, Lufkin, Texas 75915.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
