Brandi Shepherd

Brandi Shepherd, 33, of Pollok died Saturday, January 21, 2017 in a Houston hospital. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, January 29, 2017 at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.

Brandi was born April 29, 1983 in Crossett, Arkansas, and had lived in the Lufkin area since 1998. She enjoyed photography and scrapbooking. She loved the outdoors, fishing and being with family. She also loved horses and cats. Brandi attended Life Gate Church.

Brandi is survived by her daughter, Alyssa Rylie Shepherd of Arlington; mother and stepfather, Dawn and Clay Legg of Pollok; father and stepmother, William Marshall and Shelly Gibbins of Lufkin; sisters, Ashley Renee Hauser, Kayla Dawn Pugh, both of Diboll, and Kaitlyn Renee Marshall of Johnson City; aunts and uncles, Deborah Minatra, David Pugh, both of Paradise, Texas, Rebecca Marshall, Curtis Marshall, both of Burnet, John Marshall of Marble Falls, and Albert Marshall of Marshall, Arkansas; cousins, Patrick Moore and wife Niki of Granite Shoals, Ami Jo Blackwell of Paradise, Lonnie Martin of Crossett, and James McAdoo of Paradise; as well as numerous friends.

Brandi was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ruby Pugh and Ernestine Marshall; great-grandmother, Nancy Love; and uncle, Cary Pugh.

Honorary pallbearers will be James McAdoo, Lonnie Martin, Pat Moore and Paul Murdock.
