Charles Evans Peavy

Visitation for Charles Evans Peavy, 57, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Peavy was born June 26, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Dorothy Amy (Woodworth) and Asa “Gip” Peavy, and died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Lufkin. He was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and was employed with the City of Lufkin Parks & Recreation Department. Mr. Peavy enjoyed golfing and fishing, and was an Aggie fan. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Tiffany Peavy of Azle; daughter, Sarah Peavy of Weatherford; grandchildren, Cesily Peavy, Ayden Peavy, Asa Peavy, all of Azle, and Summer Finney of Weatherford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Asa Peavy, Woody and Tina Peavy, all of Hudson, and Clifford and Linda Peavy of Katy; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
