Kenneth Short

Graveside services for Kenneth Short, 62, of Lufkin will be held Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Largent Cemetery with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating.

Mr. Short was born March 23, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Geneva (Winthrop) and Lamar Short, and died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and was a painter. Mr. Short loved to camp, hunt, fish, and ride motorcycles. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandy Short of California; sister, Mareta Bennett of Lufkin; brothers and sister-in-law, Bob Short, Billy and Nancy Reppond, all of Lufkin, and Ted Reppond of Diboll; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepbrother, Elroy Hamilton; and brother-in-law, Phillip Bennett.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Friday morning at Carroway Funeral Home.
