Funeral services for Tammy Ann Bass, 50, of Diboll will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Brown and Brother William Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Bass was born July 6, 1966 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Tommie Jean (Havard) and Wayne Steel, and died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Bass was a lifetime resident of Diboll. She received a CDA in Child Development from Angelina College and was employed with KST Day Care and Southside Baptist Church. She was part of the Angelina County Sheriff’s Posse, and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Lane Bass of Diboll; son, Andrew Bass of Diboll; sister, Jennifer Scoggin and husband Damon of Diboll; brother, Wayne Ward and wife Amy of Diboll; nieces, Macy Ward, Paige Ward, Hailey Scoggin, Miranda Scoggin, Hannah Scoggin, all of Diboll, and Carol Cotton and husband Matt of Saratoga; nephews, Jesse Dean and wife Nicole of Colmesneil and Blake Bass and wife Rosa of Onalaska; great-niece, Baby Janice Dean of Colmesneil; mother-in-law, Grandma Bass of Diboll; brother-in-law, Clarence Bass of Diboll; her children and co-workers at KST Daycare in Diboll; numerous other relatives; her beloved horses, Lady and Lilley; and numerous dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janice Ward; nephew, Bradley Bass; and father-in-law, Clarence Emmitt Bass, Jr. Pallbearers will be Clay Eldridge, Jimmie Hutson, John Petty, Raymond Mason, Chris Raibley, and Boron Bounds. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael McGuire, Wayne Curry, and Keith Pigg. Memorial contributions may be made to Affinity Hospice, 2708 S. Medford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75901. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
