Memorial services for Edna Sue Courtney, 73, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Henderson Chapel of Lufkin First United Methodist Church. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Edna Sue Courtney passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016. She was born March 22, 1943. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Elree Franklin; mother, Mottie Mae (Wall) Franklin; and step-granddaughter, Kathryn Havard. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Fred Courtney; two children, Susan Jackson and husband Bryan and Mark Courtney; two grandchildren, Cameron Jackson and Courtney Jackson; two sisters, Linda Alderete and husband Frank and Bonnie Rape and husband Bobby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
