Robert Preston Williford

Funeral services for Robert Preston Williford, 75, of Lufkin will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Livingston and Brother Jerry Browning officiating. Interment will follow in the Treadwell Cemetery. Mr. Williford was born November 9, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Harvey and Ouida (Wiesenbaker) Williford, and died Saturday, December 17, 2016 in a local hospital. Mr. Williford was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and was the owner of Preston Williford & Son Plumbing. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his son, granddaughters, nieces and nephews. He never missed a birthday, anniversary or special occasion for his beloved wife, as well as other ladies in his family. Mr. Williford was a member of Keltys First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, June Williford of Lufkin; son, Robert “Chip” Williford, Jr. of Lufkin; granddaughters, Lacee Williford and Christa Blair Williford, both of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Ray and Jan Williford of Lufkin; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Pinner, Jo McCaskill, both of Lufkin, and Mildred Forrest of Huntington; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Williford; birth mother, Ouida Williford, who died when he was a child; and his beloved mother who raised him, Deborah Williford. Pallbearers will be Archie Pinner, Clyde Fussell, Brandon Fussell, Devon Fussell, Jacob Williford, and Mike Luckey. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Martin, Billy Raines, Billy Allison, and David Morgan. Memorial contributions may be made to Keltys First Baptist Church, 2402 N. John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
