Ronald Herrington

Funeral services for Ronald “Ronny” Herrington, 58, of Lufkin will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Greater Love Tabernacle with Brother Ronnie Frankens officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Pineland Cemetery in Pineland.

Mr. Herrington was born October 9, 1958 in Pineland, Texas to Bobbie M. (Clark) and the late Charles E. Herrington, and died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Lufkin.

Mr. Herrington had resided in Lufkin for the past 26 years and in Huntington prior to that. He worked in Maintenance at Perry Brothers for more than 15 years and also at Hudson High School. He loved computers, science fiction, hunting and painting. Mr. Herrington loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was a member of Greater Love Tabernacle UPC.

Survivors include his wife, Carla Herrington of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Johnathan Golembiewski and Margaret of Lufkin; mother, Bobbie Herrington of Pineland; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Dale and Randy of Alexandria, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, James R. Herrington and Mary of Pineland; brother, Samuel R. Herrington of Austin; father-in-law and wife, Joe and Ruby Goins of Lufkin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Shelia Goins of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Herrington and mother-in-law, LaVerne Goins.

Pallbearers will be Johnathan Golembiewski, Josh Herrington, Sam Herrington, David Goins, Justin Goins, Brandon Williams, Ricky Shaw, Jeff Glass, Sam Carrol, and Peyton Carrol.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at the church.
