Dawn Hudnall Cotton

Dawn Hudnall Cotton, 57, of Huntington died Monday, December 5, 2016 at her residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Cotton was born April 26, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Donald Elvis and Shirley (Carrell) Hudnall. She was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. Mrs. Cotton loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, and Facebook. She was a Christian.

Survivors include her husband, James Eckles of Huntington; daughter and her love, Jessica Shelley and Caleb Kersh of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Trey Thompson of Guam; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Mary Eckles of Lufkin and Ricky Eckles of Huntington; numerous grandchildren; father of her children, James Cotton and wife Marilou of Etoile; sisters, Donna Gardner and Debby Elliott, both of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charlie Eckles; uncle, Sonny Carrell; and cousin, Jarrod Carrell.
