Dorothy Woodworth Peavy

Graveside services for Dorothy Woodworth Peavy, 92, of Hudson will be held Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Largent Cemetery with Billy Penn officiating.

Mrs. Peavy was born July 31, 1924 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Lillian (Tournquist) and Clifford Woodworth, and died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Lufkin.

Mrs. Peavy was a life-time resident of the Hudson and Lufkin areas.    She was a homemaker and is a non-denominational member of the Body of Christ.

Survivors include her sons, Asa Peavy and Charles Peavy, both of Hudson; sons and daughters-in-law, Woody and Tina Peavy of Hudson, and Clifford and Linda Peavy of Katy, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Frances Peavy of Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Asa “Gip” Peavy.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in The Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas, 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
