Raymond B. "Pap" Lavergne

Graveside services for Raymond B. “Pap” Lavergne, 81, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery near Winnie, Texas, with Reverend D. Stephen McCrate officiating.

Mr. Lavergne was born June 25, 1935 in Winnie, Texas to the late Irene and Raymond Lavergne, and died Sunday, November 27, 2016 in Lufkin.

Mr. Lavergne loved duck hunting and family functions. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his special friend, Wilma Smith of Lufkin; special friends, Brenda and Jim Randall Bell of Lufkin, Mike Smith of Lufkin, Paul Smith and Tammy Cook of Central, Margaret and Dwayne Lowe of Lufkin, and Angie and Bobby Warner of Lufkin; cousin and spouse, Medwyn and Kathy Lavergne; and cousin, Jaynell Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tommy Lavergne.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the cemetery.
