Annette Bennett Anderson

Funeral services for Annette Bennett Anderson, 74, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bennie Boles officiating. Interment will follow in the Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs.

Mrs. Anderson was born January 25, 1942 in Trinity County, Texas to the late Mabel (Turner) and John Richmond Bennett, and died Saturday, November 26, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Anderson had resided in Lufkin for most of her life. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. She enjoyed teaching them her passion for arts and crafts and showing them unconditional love. She loved to spoil them. She was a very kind and giving woman who was always helping others. She was Methodist, and was a strong woman of faith.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Willard Anderson of Lufkin; daughters and husbands, Sharon Lawrence and Gary of Livingston and Melanie Charanza and Johnny of Lufkin; granddaughters and husbands, Cara Pilkington and Terry of Kennard, Nikki Ross and William of Lufkin, and Megan Mathews and Tim of Lufkin; grandson, Dustin Anderson of Austin; grandsons and wives, Randy Laird and Kayleen of Carthage, and Jacob Charanza and Macy of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Madalyn Bunton, Cole Pilkington, Scott Pilkington, Shona Hutson-Ross, Amber Ross, Luke Ross, Emmarie Laird, Van Laird, Noah Mathews, and Scarlett Mathews; sisters, Billie Jean Scogin of Apple Springs, Linda Stephens of Lufkin, Carolyn Whisenant of Lufkin, Doris Loeffler of Lufkin; and brother, Carl Bennett of Lufkin; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Anderson; and sister, Betty Barrett.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Charanza, Tim Mathews, Randy Laird, Terry Pilkington, Jerry “Max” Anderson, and Cory Akers.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
