Dorothy Snider Reppond

Funeral services for Dorothy Snider Reppond, 72, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Maynard Phillips and Brother Brad Forrest officiating. Interment will follow in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery. Ms. Reppond was born November 25, 1943 in Orange, Texas to the late Orbra (Wilder) and Charles Preston Snider, and died Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Lufkin. She resided in Huntington most of her life. Ms. Reppond was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Steve Hicks of Lufkin, Laura Kirkland and fiancé Terry Pounds of Forest, and Taunya and Ike Williams Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Johnathan and Margaret Golembiewski, Kristopher and Caitlyn Kirkland, Richy Golembiewski, Matthew and Darion Kirkland, Whitney and Mitch McLendon, and Malorey Grimes; great-grandchildren, Bryce Kirkland, Eli McLendon, and Natalee Kirkland; special friend, Ray Evans of Zavalla; brother, Marion “Doc” Snider of Houston; sisters, Mary Baird of Lufkin, Doris Merrill of Pasadena, Patti Harris of Lufkin, and Molly Herrington of Tyler; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sons, Andy and Anthony Griffith; and granddaughter, Haley Grimes. Pallbearers will be Johnathan Golembiewski, Kristopher Kirkland, Richy Golembiewski, Matthew Kirkland, Billy Ray Evans, and Blake Malone. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Hicks, Terry Pounds, and Ike Williams. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
