Robert H. Pritchett

Funeral services for Robert H. Pritchett, 82, of Zavalla will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Greg King officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mr. Pritchett was born December 13, 1933 in Trinidad, Texas to the late Beulah Sidere (Gregory) and John Henry Pritchett, and died Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Huntington. Mr. Pritchett had resided in Zavalla since 2001. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. The most important things in his life were his wife and children. He was a gifted woodworker and made grandfather style clocks. He enjoyed antique cars and traveling, especially with the Airstream Club. Mr. Pritchett was a member of Huntington Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Beverly June Pritchett of Zavalla; sons and daughter-in-law, Ken and Lori Pritchett and Larry Pritchett, all of Huntington; daughter, Brenda Dean of Pasadena; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Libhart, Genice Blythe, both of Oklahoma, and Edna Tims of Arizona; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Katherine White of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John W. Pritchett. Pallbearers will be Kenny Pritchett, Wesley Pritchett, Robert Kanary, Keaton Forrest, Shawn Ely, and James St. Clair. Memorial contributions may be made to Huntington Church of Christ, 203 N. Main Street, Huntington, Texas 75949. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
