Funeral services for Jimmy David Gossett, 18, of Diboll will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jerry Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan. Jimmy was born February 10, 1998 in Lufkin, Texas to Jennifer Lee (Jarman) and Chad Allen Gossett, and died Monday, November 7, 2016 in Houston. Jimmy attended Diboll UPC. He was a Raven’s fan and enjoyed discussing politics. He loved hog hunting, fishing, mud-bogging and listening to music. He enjoyed his job at MTC Correctional Facility and helping others. He loved his family and friends unconditionally. Survivors include his parents; brothers, Chris Gossett, Shane Gossett, and Wyatt Kirby; sisters, Emily Gossett and Sarah Gossett; grandparents, Robert Gossett, Cheryl and Lee Shaw, and James and Kym Jarman; uncles, Shane and wife Michelle Gossett, James and wife Susan Jarman, and Benjamin and wife Ashly Jarman; aunts, Sadie and husband Chris Alderson, and Carlea Shaw. He was preceded in death by his Nana, Patsy Gossett; his Meme, Beartha Parrish; great-uncle, Paul Graham; and great-grandparents, Robert and Elaine Gossett and Jean Musick. Pallbearers will be Chris Gossett, Shane Gossett, Wyatt Kirby, Colby Biggs, Logan O’Quinn, Colton Moreno, Sarah Gossett, Anthony Gregory, and Emily Gossett. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Cooper, Caleb Cooper and Dylan Conner. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
