Sally Lane Oliver

Funeral services for Sally Lane Oliver, 71, of Wells will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Frankie Doucette and Sister Jessie Doucette officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Shelby County. Mrs. Oliver was born March 1, 1945 in Banquete, Texas to the late Ima (Bowman) and Jack Adams, and died Monday, November 7, 2016 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Oliver was strong in her faith and was a member of Wells Christian Fellowship. She also enjoyed playing bingo. She had been employed by Wells LTC Nursing and Rehabilitation for 14 years as the Laundry Manager. Survivors include her husband, Harold Oliver of Wells; sons, Ebb Glover and John Robert Glover; daughter, Melissa Starling; stepson, Terry Lee Oliver; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Ann Sessions, Beverly Eden and Molly Glover; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Clint Lane; brother, Bubba Adams; and sisters Jayne Alvarado and Betty Jo Kitchens. Pallbearers will be Virgil Reynolds, Bro. Maynard Phillips, Bro. Calvin Kerss, Bro. Marshall Crawford, Bro. D. R. McNaughton, and Bro. Reginald Wise. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the services.
