Linda was born June 16, 1941 in California to Irving A. Wright and Elizabeth E. (Dunham) Wright, and died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in a local hospital.

Linda was a resident of Huntington Health Care and was friends with many of the residents, staff and nurses, where she made her home for many years. She suffered her entire life with the crippling disease of cerebral palsy and the conditions that go along with the disease. The family is in celebration of her new life with our Lord and Savior. Baptized and saved many years ago, she loved the Bible, reading it to her brothers and sisters as a young woman and she loved attending church at the nursing home. Linda was a member of Still Waters Cowboy Church of East Texas.

She is the loving daughter of Elizabeth “Betty” Spann and a wonderful sister to brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Dot Roden of Australia, Walter and Wendy Wright of Huntington, and Richard and Gail Wright of Waco, sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and Jack McConnell of Huntington, Bonnie and T. (Dudy) Kovich of Santa Fe, Betsy Wright Gregson, Becky and Dwight Sickelka, Vivian Henson, and Claudia Skillman, all of Huntington and stepbrothers and stepsisters, Danny, Mike, Cheryl, Faith and April Curran. She was a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews and had a special relationship with niece Elizabeth Gregson, who loved to visit her in the nursing home.

Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides; father, Irving A. Wright; stepfather, John H. Spann; brothers, Bob Roden and Patrick Wright; nephew, Doug Wright Kilpatrick; niece, Kristi Wright; and brother-in-law, Butch Kovich.

Pallbearers will be Richard Wright, Walter Wright, Grant Gregson, Heath Henson, Dwight Sickelka, and Michael Curran.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack McConnell, David McConnell, and T. (Dudy) Kovich.

A special thank you goes to the exemplary staff and doctors at CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial ER where she was treated several times; they are a blessing to all of us.

Memorial contributions may be made to Second Blessings, 803 N. Main Street, Huntington, Texas 75949, or Still Waters Cowboy Church Building Fund, 573 FM 1475, Huntington, Texas 75949.
