Funeral services for Jerry M. McMullen, 69, of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Loyd Thurman, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Aldredge Cemetery. Mr. McMullen was born January 1, 1947 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Alene (Brock) and Cullen B. McMullen, and died Saturday, October 15, 2016 in a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and an avid bass fisherman. Mr. McMullen was the owner of McMullen & Sons Drywall. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Lou McMullen of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin, Sr. and Shelah McMullen of Lufkin and Clint and Melody McMullen of Longview; granddaughter, Kortney McMullen of Lufkin; grandson, Kevin McMullen, Jr. of Tyler; great-grandchildren, Hudsyn and Ryder; sister, Carolyn McMullen of Lufkin; sisters-in-law, Nancy, Judy, Allyson, Missy, and Nelda; brother-in-law, Greg; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Kevin McMullen, Sr., Clint McMullen, Kevin McMullen, Jr., Billy Stovall, Dewayne Reese, and Randy Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the His and Her Bass Club and the Grant Street Pool Hall Team Members. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
