Lucy Gray Vasquez

Funeral services for Lucy Gray Vasquez, 84, of Hudson will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Billy Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Rocky Springs/Old Center Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Vasquez was born June 14, 1932 in Taylor, Texas to the late Will and Clara (Hernandez) Gray, and died Monday, October 10, 2016 at her residence. She had resided in Lufkin more than 50 years. Mrs. Vasquez was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She liked music, gatherings, and helping people, was full of love for all people, and had a heart of gold. She was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Leandro Vasquez of Hudson; daughters and sons-in-law, Yolanda and Marcelo Rosario of Lufkin, Patricia and David Mullins, Margaret and Danny Mullins, all of Huntington; grandchildren and spouses, Joseph and Joyce Mullins of Hudson, Tiffany and Grant Hightower of Huntington, Jarrod Rosario of Lufkin, Rachel and Chris Knight of Lufkin, Ashley and Justin Segrest of Huntington, Britney Rosario and Arnulfo Castillo of Navasota, Steven Rosario of Navasota, Danny Scott Mullins of Huntington, and Hunter Vasquez of Central; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Mullins, Joseph Mullins, Colby Mettlen, Natalie Mullins, Landen Segrest, Aiden Knight, Carter Loggins, Aiden Castillo, Jordan Castillo, Maci Hightower, Conner Segrest, Olivia Castillo, and Spencer Knight; and a number of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Joe Mullins, Grant Hightower, Jarrod Rosario, Steven Rosario, Chris Knight, Justin Segrest, Jeremy Aldava, and Junior Aldava. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
