Graveside services for James Robert Crain, 85, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Berry Cemetery with Brother Jimmy Runnels officiating.
Mr. Crain was born October 4, 1931 in Huntington, Texas to the late Jack and Ruth (Kirkland) Crain, and died Friday, October 7, 2016 at his residence. He had resided in Lufkin for 24 years. Mr. Crain served in the U.S. Army and was an agent for TABC for 28 years.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce Crain of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Lynda Crain of Lufkin and John and Linda Crain of Bryan; grandchildren and spouses, Jarod and Laura Crain, Christopher Crain, Kevin and Amy Lawrence, Zachary and Amanda Lawrence; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Jim Crain and Jack Crain; granddaughter, Jennifer Crain; and three sisters.
