Juan Francisco Morales

Mass of Christian Burial for Juan Francisco Morales, 55, of Diboll will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Ariel Cortez officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Morales was born October 15, 1960 in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico to Ignacio Morales, Sr. and Maria (Augustina) Morales, and passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mr. Morales had resided in Diboll since 1971 and was a sawmill operator for Georgia Pacific (Temple). He loved watching his grandchildren play baseball. He enjoyed bar-be-cuing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Mr. Morales was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Maria Morales of Diboll; sons and daughters-in-law, Juan Gabriel and Elsa Morales and Juan Bernardo and Sandy Morales, all of Diboll; grandchildren, Max Morales, Gabby Morales, Grisela Morales, Dominic Morales, Juan Andrew Morales, and Carson Morales, all of Diboll; mother, Maria (Augustina) Morales of Diboll; sister and brother-in-law, Carmen and Ramiro Perez of Lufkin; brother, Ignacio Morales, Jr. of Lufkin; nieces and husbands, Candy and Harvey Olivares of Georgia, Kari and Ernest Grass of Washington, DC, and Jelyitsa and Wayne Rubis of Florida; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, San Juanita Alvarez, Ignacio and Linda Serratos, Maria and Jesus Alanis, all of Diboll, Cristina and Marcelino Calvillo of Houston, Luis and Alma Serratos, Gloria and Javier Martinez, and Elia Serratos, all of Diboll; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ignacio Morales, Sr.; and grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Jay Martinez, Eduardo Garcia, Ignacio Serratos, Adrian Martinez, Jorge Serratos, and Raul Alvarez.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
