Amy Lea Westbrook

Funeral services for Amy Lea Westbrook, 44, of Pollok will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Cowart and Brother M.L. “Bud” Magee officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery. Amy was born January 5, 1972 in Lufkin, Texas to Michael and Gwyn (Heaton) Westbrook, and died Saturday, September 24, 2016 at her home. Amy was a lifetime resident of Central and a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1990. She was born with a congenital heart defect, and in 1998 became a heart transplant recipient. Amy enjoyed deer hunting and spending time in the woods with her family, sports, watching her brothers play baseball, and attending country music concerts and rodeos. Her most enjoyable times were attending church, where she spent countless hours with the youth, and being with her special weenie dog, Beanie. Amy never met a stranger and was always happy go lucky. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include her parents, Michael and Gwyn Westbrook; brothers and sister-in-law, Kevin Westbrook and Roy and Hila Westbrook; grandmother, Mary Ellen Heaton; nephews, Rory Westbrook, Ryan Westbrook and wife Hali, and Reid Westbrook and wife Kayla; niece, Celie Stewart and husband Preston; great-niece and great-nephew, Josie and Layton Stewart; aunts and uncles, Mary Beth and Larry Kendrick, Larry and Karen Heaton, and Bob Westbrook; great-uncle and great-aunt, Earl and Carolyn Hutson; extended family, Phil and Pam Feagins; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, C.T. Heaton and Harold and Dorothy Westbrook; and aunt, Linda Westbrook. Pallbearers will be Ryan Westbrook, Reid Westbrook, Preston Stewart, Dave Kendrick, Jonny Gerland, Rory Westbrook, Colton Boles, and Gary Lawrence. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Westbrook, Larry Kendrick, Larry Heaton, Earl Hutson, Jack Lee, Ken Kirkland, James Baker, and Phil Feagins. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
