Elise Bell

Funeral services for Elise Bell, 85, of Pollok will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Horace Fletcher and Brother Vic Bass officiating. Interment will follow in the Pollok Cemetery.

Mrs. Bell was born August 24, 1931 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ellis Edwards and Edna (Denman) Edwards, and went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Bell was a graduate of Lufkin High School and lived in Pollok most of her life. She was a homemaker, but helped her husband on their ranch, baling hay and selling bulls. Mrs. Bell was a member of Wayfarer’s Chapel of Redtown.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Gordon Bell of Pollok; sons and daughter-in-law, Jim Randall and Brenda Bell and Raymond Bell, all of Pollok; grandchildren, Kim Simmons, Misty Henderson, Chad Grimes, Josh Bell, Katie Vines, Caroline Henderson, Amber Bell, and Jim Ryan Bell; great-grandchildren, Madilyn Simmons, McKenna Simmons, Myles Simmons, Ashley Davis, Payton Davis, Hayze Bell, Christopher Isaacks, Kaytlynn Bryan, Cade Grimes, Cole Grimes, Jim Ryder Bell, and Peyton Vines; sister, Barbara Long; very special friend, Caridad Hernandez; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Bonnie Bell Allen.

Pallbearers will be Larry Glenn Flournoy, Frank Bethard, Ross Hicks, Liborio Arredondo, Roy Redd, and Vic Bass.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Boyd and Jack Chastain.

The family extends special thanks to all the loving caregivers, especially Brenda Nash, Barbara Smith and April Haley and the staff at Visiting Angels.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
