Jeanette I. Anderson

Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanette I. Anderson, 69, of Pollok will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Joe Kannampuzha officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park Mausoleum. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Anderson was born October 15, 1946 in Fayette County, Texas to the late Charles and Mary (Mascheck) Ruether, and died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Anderson had resided in Pollok since 1993. She was a cook at the Lufkin State Supported Living Center for 10 years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Mrs. Anderson was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Charles M. Anderson of Pollok; daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer Kretz, Julie and Adam Wilcox, all of Spring; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Miranda Anderson of Lufkin; granddaughters, Madelyn Kretz, Abigail Wilcox, both of Spring, and Casey Anderson of Lufkin; grandsons, Justin Kretz, Delton Kretz, John Wilcox, Jacob Wilcox, all of Spring, and Michael Anderson III of Lufkin; sisters and brother-in-law, Ludie Dennis of Giddings, Mary Ann and Elgene Sommerfeld of Warrenton, and Joyce Muras of LaGrange; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Oze Ruether of Eagle Lake and C.J. and Gloria Ruether of Columbus; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Anderson, Rex Lindberg, Greg Dennis, Danny Gerik, Marvin Sommerfeld, and Keith Ruether.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home, before and after the Rosary.
