Audie Mae (Rogers) Bollier

Funeral services for Audie Mae (Rogers) Bollier, 85, of Huntington will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Steven Sanders and Reverend Marlow Shubert officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Bollier was born May 18, 1931 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Rev. J.H. Rogers and Eula (Stone) Rogers. She passed from this life on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at her residence surrounded by family. Mrs. Bollier was raised in a pastor’s home in Woden, Texas. She graduated from Woden High and attended Business College in Nacogdoches. She married W. Dale Bollier on May 28, 1949. After traveling several years with construction, the couple returned to make Lufkin their home. Upon their return, they went into business for themselves, and she worked as the bookkeeper and raised their three children. She has resided in the Lufkin and Huntington areas for the last 67 years. Mrs. Bollier was completely devoted to her family and church. She taught Sunday School and was leader of her ladies prayer group for several years. When time allowed, she enjoyed sewing, oil painting, ceramics, piano, cooking and hosting family dinners, going out to eat, the beauty shop, reading, studying her Bible, and drinking coffee. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Randal Dew, daughter, Rita Blood, and son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Jan Bollier, all of Huntington; grandchildren, Tonya and Carl Truett of Wells, Jeanna Tatum and Allen Clark of Lufkin, Melissa Vaughn and Mandi Bollier, both of Huntington, Levi and Charly Dew of Shreveport, LA, Landon, Maija and Angelique Blood of Rosepine, LA, Barbie and Candace Blood of Pineville, LA, Michelle and Abe Flowers of Pace, FL, Kenny Small of New Jersey, and Darin Vaughn of Huntington; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a great host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving parents; stepmother, Mary Rogers; husband of 54 years, Dale Bollier; brothers, Billy, Clois and Virgil Rogers; son-in-law, Luther Blood; grandson, Kevin Small; and a great granddaughter, Adalya Blood. “A Beautiful Woman, uses her lips for truth, her voice for kindness, her ears for compassion, her hands for charity, her heart for love, and for those hurting, she uses prayer.” Our Mother was a Beautiful Woman and she will be greatly missed by many. Pallbearers will be Carl Truett, Cody Truett, Levi Dew, Landon Blood, Ray Allen, and Joseph Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Abe Flowers, Dwight Smith, Jacob Sowell, and Allen Clark. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Sunday School Ministry of New Life Tabernacle, P.O. Box 1315, Huntington, Texas 75949. Thanks to Dr. Lewis and the staff of Hospice in the Pines, and especially Dawn, Taffy and Brandy. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
