Frank Joseph Cejka

March 9, 1937 — July 21, 2016

Frank Joseph Cejka, 79, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Houston. Born March 9, 1937 in Weimar, Texas to Frank and Elsie Cejka, the family later moved to the Houston area where Frank spent most of his life. He happily retired on Lake Sam Rayburn in Zavalla, Texas, where he lived for about 22 years.

Frank was a graduate of St. Thomas High School, and a member of the Air Force Reserves. He made a career out of computer programming, and was an avid bass fisherman, hunter and Astros fan.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elsie Cejka, his wife Carolyn Hays Cejka, and his brother and sister, Thomas Cejka and Betty Sicinski Cejka. He leaves behind two daughters, Cara Cejka Riccetti and husband Gene, Cheryl Cejka Campion and husband Wayne, two grandsons, Jonathan Campion and Josef Riccetti, plus many other family members and friends.

A visitation is planned for Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home, 9475 S. Highway 69, Huntington, Texas 75949.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Frank’s memory to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation, 2914 Swiss Avenue Dallas, Texas 75204.
