Lisa West

Memorial services for Lisa West, 60, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastview United Pentecostal Church with Brother Kelly Havard officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. West was born May 29, 1956 in Houston, Texas to Joseph and Marjorie (Wise) Barker, and died Saturday, July 30, 2016 in a local hospital.

Formerly of Houston, Mrs. West had resided in Lufkin since 1996. She had worked in Medical Records at Memorial Health Systems of East Texas and was known for her volunteer work, especially in scouting. Mrs. West was a member of Lufkin’s First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Richard (Bill) West of Lufkin; daughter, Ginger Potter of Lufkin; son, John West of Lufkin; mother, Marjorie Barker of Houston; brother, Patrick Barker of Alaska; parents-in-law, William and Betty West of Holdenville, Oklahoma; and uncle and aunt, James and Yvonne Wise of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Barker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Cotton, Dallas Bjork, Wade Corley, Kevin Ellis and Colbert Sheard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
