Rev. Charles Hillard Jackson

Graveside services for Rev. Charles Hillard Jackson, 75, of Wells will be held Monday, July 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Brother Joe Havard officiating.

Rev. Jackson was born March 12, 1941 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Marvin Wesley and Alice Katherine (Crittenden) Jackson, and died Thursday, July 14, 2016 in a Conroe hospital.

Formerly of Houston and Appleby, Rev. Jackson had resided in Wells for several years. He was a carpenter by trade and was a Freewill Baptist Minister. He served as Pastor of the Appleby Freewill Baptist Church for many years. Rev. Jackson was an excellent father and grandfather who loved his family dearly.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Kathy Jacobs of Henderson and Patricia and Bob Conway of Magnolia; 13 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy Ann (Greenhouse) Jackson; and sons, Charlie Jackson and James Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Creel, Joseph Jacobs, Michael Jacobs, Marshall Adams, Christopher Jackson and Dustin James.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Jackson and Joseph Jackson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
