Arthur Moore "Art" Arnold, Jr.

Funeral services for Arthur Moore “Art” Arnold, Jr., 57, of Diboll will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Interment will follow the services.

Mr. Arnold was born May 5, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Kyle Marie (Pickle) and Arthur Moore Arnold, Sr., and died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in a Houston hospital.

Formerly of Kountze, Mr. Arnold had resided in Diboll for 14 years. He was a pipefitter with the Local Union 195 for 40 years. Mr. Arnold loved the outdoors, barbecuing, and girl scout cookies. He liked to buy cookbooks from churches to help them raise money. Mr. Arnold was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Amber Renne Arnold of Diboll; son, Justin Shane Arnold of Groves; stepsons, Jesse Brownlee of Kountze, R.J. Hewitt and Timothy Hewitt, both of Diboll; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and C.W. Loftin of Diboll; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jacob Arnold; and sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Eugene Capps.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Matchett, C.W. Loftin, Dale Fugate, Mike Bass, D.J. Dearman, Carlos Medrano and John Frank.

Memorial contributions may be made to any organ donation organization.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services.
