Annie "Billie" Dunn

Funeral services for Annie “Billie” Dunn, 88, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Louie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery. Ms. Dunn was born February 13, 1928 in Lufkin, Texas to the late John Alfred and Dessie Mae (Hardy) Skelton and died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in a local hospital. Ms. Dunn was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She was employed as a Certified Nurse Aide with the Lufkin State Supported Living Center for 24 years. She enjoyed being a caregiver and loved meeting new people. Ms. Dunn was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Russ Stoddard of Lufkin; son, Dennis Dunn of Lufkin; grandsons and their spouses, David and Norma Steptoe of Lufkin and Scott and Arnetta Steptoe of Menifee, California; great-grandchildren, Ashton Steptoe, Davana Steptoe and Cutter Steptoe; along with numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Bomer; son, Donald Ray Dunn; grandson, Michael Deaton; former spouse, Ervin Dunn; brother Dean Skelton. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
