Funeral services for Joyce Marie (Beard) Daniel, 89, of Hudson will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ralph Morgan and Pastor Bryan Lipscomb officiating and eulogy by Pastor John Withem. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Trinity County. Mrs. Daniel was born November 16, 1926 in Pineland, Texas to the late Charles Francis and Lottie Lee (Brandon) Beard and died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Hospice in the Pines of Lufkin. Mrs. Daniel, known throughout the community as “Mrs. D”, had resided in Hudson for most of her life. She retired from the Hudson Independent School District as an Educator and Elementary Librarian. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Walter Enos of Hudson; daughter, Terri Hohimer of Austin; son, Tim Daniel of Denver Colorado; grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Hohimer, Allison Sophia Hohimer, Hayne Daniel Enos and Kathryn Lee Enos; son-in-law, Jimmy Hohimer of Huxley; sister-in-law, Mrs. Harry Georgia Daniel of Dayton; aunt, Evelyn Faver of Crockett; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayne E. Daniel. Pallbearers will be Dan Chandler, Duane Daniel, Robert Faver, Bruce Horton, Dennis Lee Clark, Perry Fenley, Roy Carroway, Jr. and Jimmy Hohimer. Honorary pallbearers will be Hayne Daniel Enos, Rufus Dunn, Mike Penn, Mr. and Mrs. George Stephenson, Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Richardson, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Carroway, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Bob Horton, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dan Penn and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Herrington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hayne E. Daniel Memorial Scholarship, c/o Hudson I.S.D., 6735 Ted Trout Dr., Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
