Memorial services for Carol Baye, 74, of Diboll will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stephen Courtney officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mrs. Baye was born October 29, 1941 in Butte, Montana to the late Troy William Howell and Julia Moore and died Saturday, June 25, 2016 in Lufkin. Mrs. Baye had resided in the Lufkin area for the past 31 years. She was a selfless, compassionate, servant of God who instilled in her family that it is all about others in life; giving back and helping those in need. Despite her lengthy illness, she was always brightened and uplifted when her husband, Butch, daughter and grandchildren gathered together. She was a member of Lufkin First Assembly and was a faithful, strong prayer warrior who put her family and church as her first priority. Survivors include her husband, Leon (Butch) Baye of Diboll; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Shane Evans of Lufkin; granddaughters, Erica Evans and her fiance, Eric Walker and Morgan Evans, all of Lufkin; step-daughter, Joyce Herring and husband Rod of Round Rock; step-son, Mark Baye and wife Stacey of Puyllap, Washington; step-daughter, Laurie Archer and husband Thom of Bastrop; brother, Milton Taylor and wife Judy of Scappoose, Oregon; sister, Marilyn Hassinger and husband Jack of Dallas; numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Jack Taylor; sister, Marie McKenna in 1978.
