Otha Mae Hannah

Funeral services for Otha Mae Hannah, 91, of Wells will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Wells, Texas with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells.

Mrs. Hannah was born July 11, 1924 in Looneyville, Texas to the late John Clayton and Ammie (Pool) Brown and died Friday, June 10, 2016 in Wells, Texas.

Mrs. Hannah had resided in Wells for over 75 years. She was employed as the Cafeteria Supervisor for Perry Brothers for 24 years and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Wells. She was known for her cooking skills and enjoyed quilting and gardening. Mrs. Hannah loved to sing and dance and her family recalls her great sense of humor and her ability to always be quick with a joke.

Survivors include her son, Ken Hannah and his wife Jane of Wells; daughter-in-law, Pat Hannah of Houston; granddaughters, Stacy Garcia and husband Bernie of Cypress, Tessa Hannah of Houston and Ruth Tiller of Austin; grandsons, Kenneth Edward Hannah, Roy Everett Hannah, and Barrett Chronister, all of Wells; great-grandson, Mikel Garcia of Cypress; great-granddaughters, Alexa Garcia of Cypress and Nicole Campa of Houston; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Junior Hannah, in 1992; sons, Billy Keith Hannah, Danny Hannah and Mike Petty.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hannah, Roy Hannah, Bernie Garcia, Mikel Garcia and James Robert Smith.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Margie Kirtley for her loving care.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
