Peggy J. (Basham) Cotten

Graveside services for Peggy J. (Basham) Cotten, 67, of Huntington will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Treadwell Cemetery with Brother Scooter Kelley officiating.

Mrs. Cotten was born September 18, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Willard and Clara (Treadwell) Basham, and died Saturday, June 4, 2016 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Cotten was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. She taught at Herty Elementary for 29 years. Mrs. Cotten was a member of Oak Flat Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Edward “Ed” Cotton of Huntington; cousin, Linda Wadsworth of Spring; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.
