Margaret Louise (Seale) Lovelady

Funeral services for Margaret Louise (Seale) Lovelady, 74, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donald Copeland officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Rusk, Texas.

Mrs. Lovelady was born September 5, 1941 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Marcus Ward and Lucille Ida Josephine (Holbrook) Seale and died Monday, May 23, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Lovelady grew up in Rusk, Texas and later lived in Dallas, Tyler and College Station before moving to Lufkin in 1971. She was employed as a Loan Officer for First Bank and Trust for many years and retired after 25 years with Bank of America as Vice President and Bank Manager. Mrs. Lovelady was a 1960 graduate of Rusk High School. She also graduated from the Leadership Lufkin program. She was a member of the Pilot Club and a Rusk High School Alumni Association Board Member. She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and working in her flower beds. She loved flowers. Mrs. Lovelady’s greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy L. Lovelady of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Robert Haynes of Lufkin and Denise and Darac Winston of Garland; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Michelle Lovelady of Palestine; seven grandchildren, Collin, Bradley, Adam, Sydney, Hannah, Alex and Bailey Jo; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Shirley Seale of Anahuac; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mack and Jasmin Lovelady of Huntington; lifelong friends, Ken and Janice Lively of Scurry; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Frances Miles; parents-in-law, Evelyn and Jeff Lovelady.

Pallbearers will be Collin Haynes, Adam Haynes, Bradley Lovelady, Alex Winston, Matt Seale and Mack Lovelady.

Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the Texas Gulf Coast Airstream Unit.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Hospice in the Pines for their care and compassion.
